Recursive Process
The Learning outcome called the Recursive Process calls for students to approach writing as a multi-step process. Instead of turning in one final draft, students are required to turn in multiple drafts and revise their work. This is to show that writing should be worked on overtime to create the best results and final draft. Revision both on one’s own paper and peer review are components of this learning outcome. This is one of the most prevalent outcomes of this course. Over the semester, we had 3 major papers, and for each one, we had to turn in several drafts. We also had various homework assignments that required significant revision. For example, my significant writing project was essay number 2. In the essay, we had to turn in a first draft, which was a rough start. Attached is the project 2 first draft that shows my initial beginning. We were assigned different homework assignments which challenged us to revise previous work. The revisions we made were on our claims and our paragraph structures. Attached is a homework where I revised a paragraph from original to a new paragraph where my claim is clear and more precise. The recursive process is demonstrated through these.
